The residents levy, only R220 per month, is used for the following:

1. We had to pay a substantial amount of money to submit our closure application to the JRA - and when approved will have to be repeated every 2 years;
2. Funds were incurred when we had to lodge an appeal against the JRA who rejected our application;
3. To provide a ' war chest ' for any anticipated challenge against the JRA who want to remove our closure - albeit in the constitutional court;
4. Car and home decals;
5. Maintain the 2 beautiful parks;
6. Remove illegally dumped matter;
7. Enclose the parks and servitudes to prevent dumping and motorised access;
8. Pay for the guards at the booms;
9. Service the guard's portable toilets;
10. Maintain the guard's equipment and huts;
11. Upkeep the booms on Woodlands and Pinotage and pallisade closures at Woodlands and Twee Jongegezellen;
12. To keep unwanted elements out of the St. Stithians servitude in Backsburg and Goedehoop;
13. To continually upgrade the suburb - more recently we replaced all traffic signs, street names and their poles;
14. Re-painting of traffic road markings;
15. Introduce more traffic calming measures and an engineer's study is presently underway;
16. To improve security wherever we can and are looking at introducing motorised patrols;
17. Pay monthly banking charges to the Sandton Precinct who maintain the debit order system and to the auditors who carry out all necessary accounting measures

At this stage only 75% of all residents are contributing to the residents levy, yet 100% of residents benefit from these efforts. Thank you to those residents that do contribute. To those that don't, please become a Proud Contributor today.

Click here to see who the Proud Contributors in your road are:  If you do contribute, but aren't on the list, please click here. Please put pressure on your neighbours that don't contribute to do so.

If you would like to contribute please click here for a Debit Order Form, or the Hurlingham Manor North Association (HMNA) banking details for direct deposits or annual payments.

Our goal is to get over 90% of residents contributing to improve the security and beauty of our suburb for all our residents.

If you are a Proud Contributor and would like to display a Proud Contributor sign on your house, please contact Louise Geldenhuys.
